We make food for planet earth & BEYOND

In the early days of 1960s space travel, NASA faced a critical challenge: how to feed astronauts in zero gravity without compromising nutrition, safety, or taste. To solve this, they turned to freeze-drying—a cutting-edge technology originally developed for military use during World War II. NASA recognized its revolutionary potential, utilizing the process to remove moisture from food while perfectly preserving its shape, flavor, and vital nutrients.

Today, NARA Space Foods takes that legacy to the next level. We stand as the ONLY company to manufacture foods in DLC3, DLC5, and DLC9 environments. This isn't just standard food—this is an engineering marvel, structurally shrunk or expanded by 300% to 1400% to redefine the future of eating, with a longest shelf life.

This engineering marvel creates ultra-lightweight, safety-tested meals that perfectly lock in peak flavor and vital nutrients for the next generation of eaters.

ABOUT US

What we are all about

Founded by aerospace veteran Nag Ravi, NARA Space Foods bridges the gap between deep-space engineering and generations of culinary heritage. Leveraging his expertise at premier space research and satellite companies, Ravi set out to democratize space food for the everyday consumer. By fusing cutting-edge nano tech with advanced freeze-drying, NARA delivers a curated menu of over 25 Indian and International dishes—offering elite space-grade nutrition at an incredibly accessible price point.

Engineered for operational versatility, NARA Space Foods transitions advanced aerospace nutrition into everyday consumer frameworks. Our freeze-dried matrices are optimized for peak performance across diverse environments—including high-altitude mountaineering, commercial aviation, transit logistics, and daily dietary use.

By introducing industry-first exothermic self-heating pods, NARA eliminates the need for external thermal appliances or grid infrastructure. The system leverages an autonomous chemical heating process to deliver rapid, high-temperature steam rehydration directly inside the packaging. Through continuous research in molecular food tech, we have developed a novel, self-contained delivery mechanism that brings space-grade efficiency straight to your spoon, bowl, or pocket.
